With all of the old material out of the way it's time to start putting in the new. Things need to follow a logical sequence, you don't want to do something and then wind up having to remove it because you should have done something else first. Start with things like plumbing and electrical work, after that is completed, you can move on to insulation.

After all of the rough in of plumbing and electric, along with hanging and finishing drywall, you are ready for the next step. At this point you would begin installing new bathroom fixtures or kitchen cabinets followed by flooring, tile, molding etc.

As you can see, there is a lot to coordinate. When you are dealing with different contractors, you need to manage your timeline effectively. You can hire a project manager if you aren't comfortable handling this yourself, but that would add additional cost and cut into your profit. You need to decide how much of the project to do yourself and how much to contract out. It is possible to be successful without doing any of the work yourself.
